BEST BRISBANE HOTELS WITH ROOFTOP POOL FACILITIES

Below, we review the top Brisbane hotels with rooftop pools.

Ovolo The Valley Brisbane

The super stylish 5 star Ovolo The Valley is a modern hotel with that all important wow factor.

This award winning boutique hotel sits in Fortitude Valley and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.  The Fortitude Valley rail station is just 700 metres away, so you’re never far from all the city offers, making it super easy to go sightseeing.

The hotel’s elongated rooftop pool has a shaded sun terrace with loungers, and while it is not an overly large pool, it does have great views across the Brisbane city skyline.

In addition to the rooftop pool, other facilities at Ovolo include a 24 hour gym, valet parking, a sauna, 24 hour room service, a 24 hour front desk and a self-serve laundry.

There is a bar and a restaurant serving Middle Eastern cuisine and a continental breakfast is included in the room rate.

Ovolo’s communal areas are packed with artworks by local artists. The hotel has a strong Art Deco vibe and I love the lobby’s free lolly and sweets bar!

Generously sized rooms sleep 1 or 2 people in queen beds. Each room features a sofa, desk, a safe, a coffee machine, a kettle and a TV with Chromecast for streaming your favourite shows. Unusually for a hotel, the Ovolo offers guests a free minibar and a goody bag of snacks.

If you want additional space, book the top floor Valley Suite, which has a bathtub plus a balcony with seating and city views.

What’s to love?

I love the creative design of this hotel and the thoughtful free extras. Yes, please to a free minibar and lollies!

What’s not to love?

The rooftop pool has great views, but it is quite small. However, it’s large enough to enjoy a cooling dip after a long day of sightseeing. Plus, the onsite valet parking is expensive, costing $60 per day.

Summary

This is a quirky, high quality and memorable hotel with great facilities in a central location.

Crystalbrook Vincent

If you like your hotel ultra cool, consider booking the 5 star Crystalbrook Vincent. It has a super cool vibe and is packed with high quality art created by Australian artist Vincent Fantauzzo.

The hotel is adjacent to Story Bridge and located at Howard Smith Wharves – one of the city’s most popular dining precincts. To get further afield, you’re just a 15-minute walk to the Fortitude Valley rail station and the centre of the CBD.

The hotel’s rooftop pool is long and thin, with a small adjacent sun terrace and fantastic views across the river. There is also a gym, a restaurant, a bar, 24 hour room service and free WiFi.

Individually themed rooms sleep 2 people in single or king beds. Each room has a desk, a sofa, a coffee machine, a kettle, a safe, a minibar and a TV. The rooms are colourful and packed with character.

For spectacular city views, it’s recommended you book one of the river view rooms.  But if you really want to splurge, it is worth paying extra for a room with a balcony or terrace.

The hotel also offers two bedroom suites. These larger suites feature a separate living room, kitchenette, and dining area equipped with a stovetop, fridge, and microwave.

What we love?

Being in the Howard’s Wharf dining precinct is perfect for those wanting to dine at the area’s fabulous restaurants. Plus, the view from the pool deck is amazing – particularly at night with the bridge lit up.

A memorable and stylish hotel in a fantastic location. Crystalbrook Vincent also has applaudable sustainable practices and goals.
