What is the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk?
Visiting the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk is a serene and captivating experience that takes you on a journey through one of Queensland’s most beautiful rainforests.
The adventure begins at the Eco Gallery, a small yet informative space where you’ll learn about the local ecosystem through informative displays.
From here, you’ll begin the self-guided walk, which spans approximately 1.5 kilometres, combining elevated steel walkways, ground-level trails, and a show-stopping cantilever bridge.
Highlights of the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk
The Canopy Walkway
A stunning 300-meter-long steel bridge elevates visitors into the rainforest canopy, offering panoramic views of the lush greenery below.
This is a prime spot for birdwatchers, as the rainforest is home to an array of native species, from vibrant parrots to the elusive Albert’s Lyrebird.
Ground-Level Trails
As you descend the forest floor, the trail leads past bubbling streams, tranquil rock pools, and dense vegetation teeming with life. The ground level trails give you a closer look at the forest floor’s rich biodiversity.
You’ll soon arrive at a lookout area where you can view the rock pools below.
The Cantilever Bridge
A thrilling highlight of the Skywalk, this 40-meter-long steel bridge extends over the rainforest with no visible supports underneath, providing a bird’s-eye view of the treetops and surrounding landscape.
Interpretive Signage
Unlike your regular rainforest track, at the Skywalk, interpretive signage along the way provides fascinating insights into the area’s plants, animals, and history, enriching your understanding of this unique environment.

The entire experience spans approximately 1.5 kilometres and typically takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete at a leisurely pace.

Free parking is available on-site.
While public transport to Tamborine Mountain is limited, tours and private transfers are great alternatives.
