Pink Flamingo Spiegeland Brisbane

This review provides everything you need to know about Brisbane’s brand new Pink Flamingo Spiegeland.

The Queensland Travel Guide acknowledges the Jagera people and the Turrbal people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Pink Flamingo is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continued spiritual and cultural connections to Country. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

If you love Pink Flamingo on the Gold Coast, then you’ll absolutely love their new venue in Brisbane.

It’s the perfect night out for those who love the glitz and glamour of cabaret.  Whether you’re after a romantic evening for two or a fun night out with friends, you’ll be guaranteed an entertaining night here.

So, let’s dig a little bit deeper into why Pink Flamingo Spiegeland should be at the top of your list for your next night out in Brisbane.

We were paying customers at Pink Flamingo, so you can rest assured that our review is 100% unbiased.

The Venue

Pink Flamingo’s second South East Queensland venue is on Hamilton’s Northshore – just next door to Brisbane’s iconic Eat Street.

While not situated in a Spiegeltent, as the name might have you think, the venue is impressive.  Outside the 400-seat purpose-built theatre is a huge undercover area with tables and chairs surrounded by several pink shipping containers that double as bars.

If you happen to purchase Gold or Platinum tickets (more about this below), you’ll be invited into one of the VIP lounges before the show.  The Platinum lounge is off to the side with its own exclusive entry, while the Gold lounge is on either side of the main entry into the theatre.

The VIP lounges are supposed to open an hour (for the Gold Lounge) or an hour and a half (for the Platinum Lounge) before the commencement of the show.  However, this wasn’t the case on the night we attended, and we were left standing around – the lounges didn’t open until just 30 minutes before the show.

Inside the theatre, you’ll find a sea of pink (in fact outside too – everything is pink!).  The theatre really is just gorgeous with its plush velvet seating and cabaret style tables.  The interior is spacious yet intimate, all the while being glamorous, glitzy and sophisticated.

The Shows

At the time of publishing, the Pink Flamingo in Brisbane was showing three shows – their main headlining show being Suave, then there is Ripped, an all male revue and La Teaze, their late night show.

If you’ve previously been to the Gold Coast Pink Flamingo, you may have seen Suave, as it was their headlining show back in 2020.

Suave is your typical cabaret style show, which blends sexy burlesque with mind boggling acrobatics, stunning aerial performances, circus acts, dancing, singing and, of course, comedy.

There’s plenty of audience participation too, so don’t sit too close to the front if this isn’t your thing.

Suave goes for 2 hours and is showing on Tuesday (7.30 pm), Friday (6.30 pm) and two shows on Saturday (11.30 am and 6.30 pm)

Tickets start at $88 for two people, up to $218 per person- click here to book..

I haven’t seen Ripped, so I can’t talk from personal experience – but I have watched a few videos – all in a hard day’s work – right?

From what I can tell, this is your typical style male review.  Think Magic Mike, and I reckon you’ve got the picture.  As well as some great dance moves, there are some pretty amazing acrobatics and some hot guys too.

Ripped looks perfect for a girl’s night out, whether it’s just a few friends getting together or to celebrate a birthday or hen’s night.

Ripped goes for 2 hours and shows on Thursdays at 7.30 pm and Saturday afternoons at 3 pm.

Tickets start at $48 for two, up to $148 per person- click here to book..

La Teaze

Advertised as a risque cabaret, La Teaze is an hour long show of sexy burlesque performances with a few aerobatic and aerial performances thrown in the mix.

While the show was certainly entertaining, and the dancing was amazing – I have to say I was expecting a lot more and didn’t see the resemblance to Moulin Rouge, which the show claims to be inspired by.

If you’ve only got the budget or time for one show, I’d recommend skipping this one and seeing Suave. But if you’ve seen Suave – then its still worth checking out.

La Teaze goes for one hour and shows on Friday and Saturday nights at 9.30 pm.

Tickets start at $48, up to $118 – click here to book.

The theatre is nice and cozy and it really won’t matter where you sit, you’ll have a great view anywhere.

However, tickets are sold in four categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

For the VIP treatment, you will want to book the platinum tickets.  These tickets will have you sitting super close to the stage in rows A and B.

In addition, on arrival, you’ll have access to the Platinum Lounge, as well as during intermission.

Your ticket also includes unlimited champagne or beer, as well as canapes on arrival.

Other inclusions with your Platinum ticket include photos with the cast, a souvenir photograph, a show programme and a merchandise show bag.

Next up is the Gold category which includes seats in rows C and D.

You’ll also get up to an hour in the Gold Lounge before the show as well as during the intermission.

A complimentary drink is also provided on arrival.

For those who do not need to sit too close to the stage, the Silver tickets offer great value for money.  These tickets will have you sitting in rows E to H.

If you’re simply after the cheapest tickets money can buy – then you’ll want a Bronze ticket, which gives you a seat in the back row – although still very good viewing from here.

2-4-1 Tickets

If you’re tight on cash but still keen on going to see one of the Pink Flamingo shows, then you’re the best option is to go on one of their 2-4-1 ticket nights.

On Tuesday nights, Suave is on at  7.30 pm and tickets for two people range from $88 to $168.

If you want to see Ripped – they have 2-4-1 tickets on Thursday nights when the show is on at 7.30 pm and tickets for two people range from $48 to $148.

Unfortunately, there are no 2-4-1 tickets for La Tease.

Food and drinks

If you’re super organised – when you book your tickets, you can pre order a charcuterie or cheese platters.

There are bars outside the theatre for a pre-show drink, and you can order drinks from a QR code right from your seat during the performance.

If you want to grab a drink before the show – the site opens at 5.30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4.30 pm on Fridays and 9.30 am on Saturdays.

Car Parking

Good news for those driving in, there is a dedicated car park right next to the venue, and it’s free!

Simply head for the Northshore vicinity and follow the signs for the Dock B car park.
